New Jersey Clean Energy Program In 2003, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities established the Office of Clean Energy to administer New Jersey's Clean Energy Program. Representatives from government, business, environmental, and public advocacy organizations also helped establish a Clean Energy Council to engage stakeholders in the NJCEP's development and provide input to the BPU regarding the design, budgets, objectives, goals, administration, and evaluation of New Jersey's Clean Energy Program.

New Jersey Economic Development Authority In order to promote a green economy in New Jersey, the EDA has created Clean Energy Solutions (CES). This suite of financing programs includes interest-free loans and grants to ensure that commercial, industrial and institutional entities have the resources they need to grow and prosper while simultaneously reducing New Jersey’s carbon footprint. Ultimately, CES supports New Jersey's commitment to clean and renewable energy.
